ack in 2005 while searching the internet for interesting things about Microsoft Flight Simulator, we came across simpits.org. A site dedicated to the art of home cockpit building. From the first sentence, I was hooked. A new world of possibilities opened up to me. I remembered being a kid and building a "cockpit" out of an old cardboard box and thinking that was "as real as it gets".
Now, all grow'd up, we actually had the knowledge and the skill to build a more lifelike cockpit. Armed with the newly bookmarked link to simpits.org and a fresh shot of motivation we set out to develop high fidelity and realistic looking instruments that look as real as possible when stuffed behind a faux panel.

Our first release was Jayco GAuges, a "six pack" containing the basic six flight instruments. We gave these away for FREE because we wanted to give back to the community that gave us so much inspiration to take our dreams to the next level.

Shortly after, the EFS50 simulation was also released and after several hundred downloads of our software we decided to produce something for the enthusiast market.
In 2008 I was contacted by Eric Tomlin of hangar45.net. He was coordinating a group of guys that were taking on the Learjet 45 aircraft in a time when all there was to have was either 737 or Airbus. He needed an alternative and more accurate avionics system than was currently available. Well two years later we had an excellent option for builders looking for that alternative. Jet45 Advanced Avionics Suite is the culmination of 5 years of learning and we are proud to have it as our flagship product.
In the near future, stay tuned for more innovative software simulations from FlightDeckSoft.com. |
